on the exterior of our newly built home there's some kind of paper-thin liner that in some places extends an inch or so out past the edge of the brick. What is this stuff? We bought the home in January when everything outside was covered in snow - now that the snow is melted it seems like this is something the builder or his sub should trim up as it just makes the house look unfinished. I've been around a lot of newly built houses and I don't remember seeing something like this before.
