CCGs will end up pitting two very good teams against each other, with one getting that additional quality win and the what have you done for me lately bonus points. I could see a situation where the B12 gets passed up no matter who wins the other conferences' CCG. Gary Crowton was right about one thing, playing a 13th game definitely makes your schedule more difficult regardless of the opponent. You can't lose (or sustain injuries) if you don't play. In this case, however, it will always be a good opponent. That should always give an edge to teams who play that extra game and I hope it does.
The B12 should be looked down upon by the other conferences (and the committee) for both only having 10 teams, and for not playing a CCG. I think it would be fair for the committee to penalize them each year because of this.
