Travelers - what is your favorite big/major city?
New York? LA? Rome? Paris? Barcelona? Istanbul? Munich? Berlin? Prague? Budapest? Buenos Aires? St Petersburg? Rio? So many to pick from but is there just a big city that just wowed you and you continue to go back, or that you have been to and would love to go back?
If there is one, can you somehow articulate why?
Near the top of my list is Budapest: http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/24527968.jpg Although the food wasn't great the culture of having come out of communism less than 30 years ago contrast with the history and architecture I thought were really a cool experience, and unlike some places like Rome or Prague which just seemed to be crawling with tourists everywhere Budapest didnt feel that way.
Istanbul is next year....excited about that.
