It is and it isn't a part of his job. You would never see him speaking with his
daughter during the game. You will never see him take her on the court (similar to you taking your daughter to court). If you won a big case as a lawyer and had your kid with you at a press conference (much like many Presidents have had) I wouldn't think it would be a big deal either.

You also don't see bench players at press conferences after the game. So is it really part of the job description? Again, kind of. I can tell you the Warriors are very happy with Steph Curry and don't care at all that his daughter came to the press conference after he won league MVP and helped the Warriors get to the finals.

The media often tries to bait and lure players like Steph Curry into getting angry or giving quotes that they don't want to give. I don't see the problem in Steph poking a little bit of fun back at them by bringing his daughter with him. Heck, it got Brian Windhorst quoted on something he didn't want to be quoted on. It helped everyone in the media as there was another story!
