They may come from rough backgrounds and have grown up making bad choices or whatever..but this is their chance to get out of it.

They have so much going on to focus on and keep themselves out of trouble. They have so many people babysitting them and counting on them. This is their chance to change their life path for themselves and their family.

Even if football doesn't work out they can come out of school with a degree, no debt, and people love to hire D1 football studs. But yet there are constantly kids who keep screwing it up for themselves and doing things to jeopardize it. I feel really bad for them because if they could just stay strong and make good decisions for a few years at college, they are setting themselves up to be very successful in life.
