I lived in Houston for a long time (up until 3 years ago) and it always felt like A&M country to me. Not that UT didn't have a strong presence, but I think the B12's presence in the Bayou City took a big hit when A&M defected to the SEC. I don't know how much of that market they can recapture by adding UH (still mostly a commuter school), but I think the B12 does miss those games in SE Texas for recruiting purposes alone. I won't be surprised to see Cincy and Houston emerge as the likely candidates.
