I have the Nikon D7100 and love it. The low-light performance is especially good
I can't compare to the Canon because I stopped comparing a long time ago (once I chose to go with Nikon). But you can count me as one who love his Nikon and would highly recommend it.
Most of the first half of these pictures here were shot with my 7100 (you can click on one to see the exif data to be sure). I know it's not the 7200, and it may not help you decision, but wouldn't hurt.
