That only makes sense if the B12 teams are willing to give up part of their
current piece of the pie, which last I knew they were not.
If ESPN were to pay BYU and BSU as members of the B12, ESPN would be required to pay MORE than they currently dole out, as ESPN pays B12 members more for their TV rights than it pays BYU and BSU, respectively.
So, explain to me again how this would save ESPN money.
