I once looked up the stats on the percentage of BYU students who had completed their Personal Progress or Eagle Scout and Seminary. It was very high. My conclusion was that while it is not a "requirement' to get those things, the numbers tell you how important they apparently are. To the point where one of the reasons we made our girls go to seminary was so that they did not jeopardize their BYU admissions possibilities (ironic because my two oldest got in but chose to go somewhere else). I don't think I will make my son get an Eagle but it's always in the back of my mind.
