Dad said he's recovering well so far and doctors told them that they were very
surprised Nick didn't fracture his heel bone. They said if he would have, his playing career would have likely been over. They also said he was extremely fortunate that he didn't hurt any other major parts of his foot and it could have been much worse. Still, The injury is painful and the exact amount of time until he is going to be able to take the pounding on his foot that basketball requires is not known for certain. Some have said 6 to 8 weeks and I believe Greg wrubel said on the radio more like three months+. But the Emery's don't even know for sure yet, but will be able to narrow in more on an exact time that he can play at 100% as the injury heals more.

This comes from my bil a couple days ago and he is good friends with the Emery's and had just talked with them that day.
