We brought over an Italian made sofa set...has a motor that controls the foot rests. The motor is dual-voltage...so I thought I would swap out the Euro plug for an american one. (both two prong).
After making the switch, I plugged in the new cord and I blew the circuit breaker. It worked fine with just an adapter on there...any thoughts? Do I need to put a plug with a grounding wire on there too?
TIA
