Turns out there were at least 18 people that went to rescue, over 5 of which were in the water, and none of the 5 were 18 years old and of the 3 specifically mentioned...one lived past 40, the other 84, and the last one died around 30 after serving a 4 year mission in England and died of tuberculosis.

Still a great story, just doesn't need to be embellished.
