They'd have an easier time than us, but not as easy as ND.
Notre Dame has decades worth of tradition with teams like USC, Stanford, Boston College, Navy, Michigan. Purdue, etc. Add in the 5 game ACC scheduling agreement and they are overflowing with teams used to playing them and contracted to playing them.
That is not the case with Texas. They are one of college football's biggest brands, but even they would have independence growing pains.
