I help people get out of their timeshare contracts. They're literally desperate and sometimes will put their weeks up for rent/sale on ebay or redweek.com just hoping to save a little money on the annual maintenance fees they have to pay. But I don't recommend you use it because you'll probably get called in for a "mandatory" sales meeting. But if you're good at saying no, it may be a good option.

But sticking with homeaway/vrbo is an excellent recommendation.
