It really does try our fanhood when BYU asks us to sit in the cold rain to watch
a glorified scrimmage.

I was there at Savannah St., but I'll admit to thinking about not going more than once. I'll be there at Wagner as well. Hopefully the weather will be nicer. But I could foresee a day where I start skipping that game, when I decide it's not worth it to deal with the November weather to watch it in person.

Independence means we have to use the FCS game to fill out the schedule later in the year. I get that. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Also, while I freely admit that I don't follow FCS football closely enough to have a good feel for this, it seems like I've heard that not only is Wagner an FCS team, but they are one of the worst FCS teams. Does anyone know if that is true? If it is, then that's another valid thing to gripe about--if we have to play an FCS team every year (and basically, we do), then can't we at least play a team that could challenge us a little (some FCS teams can hang with an FBS team for a quarter or two).
