in meaningless and trivial things- we argue and bicker about things, and then when we read posts like yours, it makes us see what is truly important.

I'm actually more of a Ute than a Cougar. (I went to the U for undergrad, then BYU for grad school- so I cheer for both teams.) I don't spend a ton of time on this board, especially anytime but football season. I wasn't familiar with your story before I read your post. But I want you to know that I was really moved by it.

I've experienced loss in my life- I think everyone does- but I can't even comprehend the loss that a parent must feel when they lose a child. I know people- people who had strong testimonies of the gospel- who literally stopped functioning after they lost their son. It shattered their faith. The fact that you not only survived it- but grew because of it- and are now sharing your story to help uplift others- says so much about you and your wife. You are both obviously extraordinary people. I'm sure that you still probably have hard day's, but I admire you so much for continuing to carry on. You have a wonderful family. (I looked at your Facebook page. I hope that's okay.) There's a reason that the Lord entrusted you with such a special spirit.

I hope that you you have an incredible time at the game. I hope that you feel Austen's spirit while you're at the game. And I hope BYU has an awesome game. I'll definitely be cheering for my Utes tonight, but I'll also be cheering for the Cougars- even more so now.
