This data is highly dependent on location
I know for a fact that I can get house for under $200K outside of Denver less than an hour. Denver good areas are becoming more and more expensive. Of course, the drug business is now a billion dollar boon to the state.

I highly doubt I could do the same for DC, unless I jump into the West Virginia market. Boston is like DC where good properties are $600K plus in good neighborhoods.

Phoenix is also dirt cheap in a lot areas. You don't have to go far to get in the under $200K range

Miami has a lot of poor neighborhoods, but I don't know if condos are included in the median prices. Condos drive the prices down. I doubt I could buy a good single family home in a good area anywhere near the median list price.

Dallas is always cheap, except you pay a lot in property tax. Brand new houses are less than $400K.

I don't know the Seattle market.
