at least to this point. They won back-to-back championships and probably were the best team in 1987 and 1988, but fate stepped in and derailed them against the Celtics ('87) and Lakers ('88). Isiah Thomas could absolutely take over a game. They wouldn't have won another championship going up against Jordan, but they would probably be more legendary if Thomas hadn't had a career-ending injury in 1993.
