Vivosmart over the Fitbit Charge HR because I wanted the option to have the phone alerts. It vibrates when I get a phone call or a text. You can set it up to receive alerts for emails too but that was too often. I never take my phone off of silent now. It does a good job tracking steps among other things. There are many side by side reviews out there. I like the heart rate monitoring of the Charge but the phone alerts were more important to me.
