If you want to get a little better idea you can go to the US Dept of Education Post secondary Education website. It shows expenses and revenues for all NCAA schools (BYU has to report these numbers accurately) and while it doesn't show individual salaries it does show what each school pays total to their collective HC's for both men's and women's sports and does the same for assistants. You can compare what BYU pays to what Utah pays and see that in HC salaries we're not that far off. Where we do lag behind is with salaries for assistants.
Using Utah as a barometer, iirc Kyle makes somewhere in the neighborhood of $2.7 mil per year, with BYU and Utah fairly close in overall HC salaries, I think it's a safe conclusion that Bronco is (as TH has assured) very, VERY competitively compensated.
