i came away from that game discouraged w/ our offense...
i want to see timing routes...hitting a guy on the break or just going past the line-to-get for a 1st down. i'd like to hit a tight end over the middle every-once-in-awhile...throw to a back as a safety valve.
too often this offense is everyone go down field and throw up a jump ball. it's just not sustainable. against USU...our WRs made some great catches...unfortunately, i'd call too many of them nothing more than lucky.
like most people, i was thrilled w/ our win at nebraska on a hail-mary to end the game. but the next week against boise, i was bothered that we had a 4th and 7 w/ plenty of time left in the game and basically threw another hail-mary into the end zone on 40+ yds pass play...again. just not a percentage play.
it seems like if we need 5 yds for a 1st down, we've got 4 receivers going down 15-25 yds downfield...all outside along the sidelines.
