With one game to play, here are a fee takes on the team as a whole. It's by no
means comprehensive, and none of the points are intended to be reflective of one game but instead of the season as a whole.

Positives:
-Improvement in TO management by Bronco...as in there were actually TO's to use at the end of the game.
-Decrease in the number of stupid PF penalties. Still had a few, but overall there seemed to be fewer than past years
-Reduction of procedural penalties as the season progressed
-Improved pass rush as the season progressed (due to Tuiloma's return to health and weaker opposition)
-The team's resolve and mentality. The team seemed less affected by momentum swings in-game and had better body language throughout the season (with the exception of massive egg at Mizzou). Less "woe is me" mentality.
-Special teams as a whole was better: FG kicking was more predictable than recent seasons, great on blocking kicks, gave up few big returns, few boneheaded return game mistakes (penalties that wiped out a big return or turnovers due to poor kick receiving).
-Tanner was inconsistent and inaccurate at times, but he performed well given the shoes he had to fill were monstrous. BYU will be much better off in 2016 with him having this year than they would be had Taysom stayed healthy (though it would have been a special 11-1 or 12-0 season with Taysom).
-The emergency of a TE. Granted, it was a 5th year converted d-lineman, but heck, at least one of the seven rostered TEs made an impact. Please let this be a sign of using a TE more next season.

Areas that are consistent weaknesses:
-Tackling. From Nebraska to USU this was a consistent problem. Poor technique, poor angles, poor finishing. The tackling is still awful.
-Customizing a game plan to attack opponent strengths. Whether is was SJSU, Mizzou, or even Michigan, this was a killer. Pregame or in-game.
-Receivers who played smaller and less physical than their size. With the exception of Houk early in the season and Pearson at times, there was a lot of plays left on the field. Moroni looks like he's going to be great.
-Offensive line run-blocking. Against crap defenses there was some success. But the inability to generate a rushing attack against teams with any semblance of a solid front 7 was a consistent problem
-Inconsistency in the secondary. Davis played well at field, Preator did well at boundary, Hannemann was fin at safety. But when Hannemann went to field it was open season. They all played hard, but drag or crossing routes too often found a soft spot in the zone. I hope it gets better given another year of experience (only Wadsworth graduates, right?) and hopefully Preator sees the field more. And they all figure out how to tackle consistently.

What did I overlook?
