I feel bad for Notre Dame. Two tough losses, to really good teams, on the road.

Clemson has been billed as the top team in the country for about half the season. Stanford is definitely a top-10 team. Notre Dame lost to them by a total of 4 points.

Play either of those games in a neutral location (like a bowl game) and ND might have won. Now they're just a NY6 team.

Was 2004 the last time? That was a great OOC schedule, including ND and USC at home.
