They're an interesting team to keep our eyes on. They're like our Indy peer who's using steroids - they basically have P5 inclusion & consideration for the CFB playoff & bowl games. They have an ACC scheduling agreement allowing for them to be "quasi" tied to a P5 conference. They have perpetual series with big name P5 teams on the other side of the country.
Then there's BYU trying to grind it out as an Indy by researching future schedule gaps, cold-calling P5s and hoping to come up with decent schedules. Having ESPN pencil us in for bowl games years into the future, just to be sure we aren't left out.
It just makes me wonder what happens if/when the committee basically makes it known to ND that they need to join a P5 conference. How quick would dominoes fall and they are a part of the ACC or B1G? I'd imagine PDQ.
