If Kaufusi continues to develop over the course of this year, who do you start next year......Kaufusi or Mika? Right now through 5 games Kaufusi is averaging in just 20 min of play 10.6 points, 7 boards, 2.2 blocks, and shooting almost 70% from the floor. His free throw shooting has struggled but I think that will get better.
Mika's freshman year he averaged 25.6 min, 11.8 points, 6.4 boards, .7 blocks, and shot 52% from the floor.
I'm a little confused why Kaufusi has been limited on playing time in 3 of the 5 games. For instance in Saturday's game against Belmont he went out with his 3rd foul with about 17 min left in the 2nd half and never saw the floor again. I know we were really gelling with the group in there but I don't perceive Kaufusi as a drop off or liability to insert back in the game. Just an observation
Anyway, at this point I'd still start Mika over Kaufusi but it sure would be fun to see them both on the floor together!
