Honest question...is it EVER acceptable to lose to the 198th and 224th (at home)
according to Sagarin ratings, ranked teams in the country? Occasionally teams get upset in pre-season, more because they are overlooking opponents, or they are P5 schools that think they are better than all non P5 schools. Has our program overall gone downhill since we left the MWC? In years past, Pacific and Portland were preseason, guaranteed patsy wins on the schedule.

Interesting how the team and coach Rose (who I really do like a lot) seems to get passes on these losses. The % of games we have lost to sub .500 teams since joining the WCC is amazing. I even gave the team a pass when they lost to a horrible Portland team because a) they were coming off a big, emotional win vs. Gonzaga and b) there was no energy in the high school gym that is in Portland. But how they lose at home, one game out of first, in front of a big crowd, with definite tournament and conference championship implications is beyond me.

Lastly, is there one guy on Pacific's roster that was recruited or would be in the top 10 current players at BYU? We are not who we think we are if we can't beat the teams outside the top 200 in the nation. Imagine if we were in the Big 12 this year! Really mind boggling.
