when Rush came along he was ground breaking because so much of middle America was tired of all the liberal talk on the radio and AM radio was dying and almost dead when Rush came along.

You say Rush has had a devastating effect on the country. You might be right but talk radio before him had a devastating effect. But liberal AM radio probably had less an effect because no one was listening. Everyone (or nearly so) was tuning into FM and listening to anything except the liberals on AM. But it was during this time (the time of liberal radio) that liberalism took hold and gained a steady base.

Even today, liberals can not survive on the radio. Many have tried and all have failed.

You may well disagree with my thoughts but that is the way I see it.
