This is true. He will be all right over time. Worst thing they did was ask him to lead.
Leadership is role specific. A good leader with one group might not be so in another group.
Emery has been a good leader on the basketball court and will be so in the future. But he is not going to lead KC, Fischer, Davis, and Austin at this place and time. When people try to force such things, it messes with the psyche of the entire group.
