My emergency fund is 3 months salary that is held as the lowest that my savings account will go to. Everything over that amount is swept out at the end of the quarter to invest in higher interest opportunities. So, it becomes less liquid, but I would still consider it to be my "emergency fund" when/if a disaster hits and I need to access it.
