OK, then I'll say it.
We just hired a guy that has no head coaching experience. To say Sitake is qualified to be BYU's head coach requires a fairly sizable leap of faith. But it was clear once Bronco left we weren't going to find someone was truly qualified so why beat the dead horse? I hope it all works out but don't try and tell me that Sitake was clearly qualified to be the head coach because he wasn't.

And to anyone who enjoys archiving posts and then pulling them out 2 to 10 years later, let me go on record saying this doesn't mean I think he's doomed to failure. I just think he's a big unknown. BYU is riding a serious wave of kum-ba-ya right now and it'll be interesting to see what happens when the honeymoon period wears off.
