As far as I can tell, this team is a one-year deal. Part of the way they were able to make their big-name acquisitions was by backloading contracts for players whose prior teams were willing to essentially foot a chunk of the bill for their first year in LA. Once these players' salaries jump after the first year, LA might need a new rule to help them keep a significant part of their roster.
