Great story, mediocre movie.

Once Domnhall Gleason was gone, it felt like the wind permanently left the movie's sails and it just became a series of awful events.

Was the warden's apparent suppressed homosexuality from some evidence or did Jolie pull it out of thin air?

Great cast, but they didn't have a lot to work with. Pretty surprised to see it was scripted by the Coen brothers. Not a bad movie, but too bad the story didn't get a better one.
