confirmed that 12 teams will increase the chances for a Big 12 team making the CFP. What I hadn't seen until I started looking on Twitter is that having 12 teams only ups the chances of making the CFP at around 5%.

I could be very wrong on this, but 4-5% doesn't scream at me as a huge motivator in expanding, especially if expanding reduces the financial pie for the rest of the members. The schools might be ok with having a reduced chance of 4-5% if they like the current status quo.
