Yes, I understand that it's a freshman cap, but it seems like the majority of people look at it and think "NAVY". We have nothing to do with the Navy, so it seems misleading. Yes, I know many schools have the freshman cap variation logo, but I basically never see it. Despite what the actual logo might be, the SAILOR coug (yes, that's what it's called on byu's website) makes people think about the Navy. Besides that, it looks like a freaking alley cat. We are the cougars not the BYU kitty cats. Understandably, some people on CB grew up with the Sailor Coug logo, so it creates some nostalgia for them. It just doesn't do it for many of us that do not like the Sailor Coug at all.
