he's no Aaron Rodgers, but he can throw a good, accurate (enough) ball. This O-Line is TURRRIBLE. Seriously. Not really their fault. They're a bunch of 3rd stringers and JuCo transfers.
I just cant get over how bad our receivers are. So many dropped balls. They were this bad the last time Cahoon had the reigns. Guy Holliday comes in, BOOM, awesome. He leaves and goes to Utah, their receivers are suddenly awesome. Cahoon comes back to BYU, cleats on the practice field and all, BOOM, our receivers suck.
O-line + horrible receivers = BYU fans calling for Taysom's head. Just look at the time Taysom had in the first half to throw the ball vs the second half, and how much he improved in just that amount of time. No need to look further than that.
HAVING SAID THAT:
Taysom was bad on that last drive. He made his passes, but it was like he was trying to take over at random moments and trying to break away for a run when there was really no lane available. I've been Team Taysom this whole time, and I still am. This may be the first moment that I watched and said "Tanner may have done better on that drive." They were playing soft, and if Taysom would have stuck with the pass, he may have gotten us farther down the field. Also, kicking the ball on first and 10 with 15 seconds left on the clock? WHAT THE ____?!?!
Put Jamaal in that game and it makes the difference. Squally did well, but he's still learning.
