I'm a pessimist by nature, but what I've seen from the coaching staff has me really excited for the future.
Positives: Sitake was left pretty thin at a couple of key positions - not need to call them out, its pretty obvious who they are - but despite the dearth of talent, he's still had us in a position to win every game. And while I didn't hate Bronco like some did, in almost every season there was at least one game where we look ill-prepared and the team seemed to give up.
Can Sitake improve in a few areas, including clock management? Yes and I'm sure he will.
I think most of us would have been happy with 4-4 through the first 8 at the beginning of the season. Especially with a rookie HC, OC, and DC. If your expectations for them (Ty Detmer specifically) expected more than that, then that's on you for being a huge dummy that doesn't know things.
This was a hire for the future and I'd say I'm surprised by how good they are in year one.
