Have you seen the FULL home slate for 2025?!?!?
Reposted for the daytime crowd. ...

Start recruiting to it now Coach Sitake!

http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/indep/byu-cougars.php

We only have 3 games scheduled in 2025 right now ... but here they are:

09/13 - Stanford
09/20 - Minnesota
11/01 - Virginia

All three in PROVO! That's a great nucleus of games to build a schedule around for sure. Solid P5 names, but traditionally not the powerhouse programs in their regions (save Stanford for the last few years before this one).

I would assume that we'd also have games against:

Utah ... if we continue to play every year, then that would be Utah in Provo
Boise State ... if we continue to play every year, then that would be BSU in Provo
Utah State ... if we continue to play every year, then that would be USU in Logan
Regional FCS team like Weber St/SUU/NAU

Yes, you are reading that right ... the 2025 Home Schedule (assuming continued H-A-H-A-H-A... with BSU,UU) is seriously looking like it will include at least the following games:

Utah
Stanford
Minnesota
Boise State
Virginia
FCS team

With that schedule lined up, don't tell me that ESPN will be low-balling us when it comes to re-negotiating our contract. ESPN had to take a leap of faith on BYU when we announce INDY because the only home games we had dates inked on were those WAC teams. When the contract is re-negotiated in 2017-8, we will have a legitimate P5 home schedule ... with interesting games usually in weeks 1-5 (when most teams are just warming up on cup-cakes ... Week 1 this year was a notable exception, but weeks 2/3 were more boring)

Here's a potentially realistic schedule for that year (*= scheduled games, ^= expected games, += hypothesized games just to flesh things out for argument's sake):

+ 08/31 - USC or UCLA in Vegas (New-ish NFL Stadium, neutral-site game ... on FOX/FS1 if they are "home team", ABC/ESPN if we are) ... or similar big-name opponent at another Neutral Site.
^ 09/06 - Utah (ABC or ESPN)
* 09/13 - Stanford (ABC or ESPN)
* 09/20 - Minnesota (ESPN or 2)
+ 09/27 - @ Vandy (SEC Network or ESPN2)
^ 10/03 - @ USU (ESPN or 2 FRIDAY)
10/11 - BYE
^ 10/16 - Boise State (ESPN THURSDAY)
^ 10/25 - Weber State (BYUtv)
* 11/01 - Virginia (ESPN/2)
+ 11/08 - @ Kansas St (FS1 or ESPN2)
11/15 - BYE
+ 11/21 - Army (ESPN/2 FRIDAY)
+ 11/29 - @ Hawaii (gets us a 13th game ... ??? on broadcast)
+ 12/06 - @ UMass (ESPN2/U) in Patriot's stadium

Again, very front-loaded ... but that's just the nature of the beast with INDY (unless some more teams end up as INDY for some reason)

It may be easier to get excited about the 2019 schedule though, since it's so much more proximate:

Although there are only 8 games completely firmed up, we already have a home slate of:
Utah
Washington
USC
Boise State
The 4 road games are all very winnable (USU, Mass, Wazzou, Toledo) as well.

In fact, next year is pretty solid too with "neutral" vs LSU and home games vs Wisc, Yewts, and Boise St.
