I haven't seen La La Land because everyone I know tells me I'll hate it. I got halfway through HHW, and although I like Ben Foster, it didn't work for me. I was amazed Arrival was nominated. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't special. Hidden Figures was good, but I'm tired of movies about the first (fill in the ethnic group or class) to accomplish something. I'm not being racist and I'm not being sexist, but enough already. Manchester by the Sea is great. I like Casey Affleck a lot more than his older brother.
