Coached at a private school in Memphis, got a job as an off the field assistant
On Ed Orgeron's staff at Ole Miss. The next year he was made TE coach and was dumped by Houston Nutt when Orgeron was fired. Coached at a tiny college in Tennessee before being hired at Arkansas State to be OC. He eventually was hired to be the HC at Arkansas State and then ended up as the HC at Ole Miss.
