Kona is on the dry side of the big island and has a certain Southern California vibe. Housing is expensive like all of Hawaii. The church has a presence but not like Utah or Arizona. There are a lot of tourists because many of the best resorts in the world are a few miles north of Kona. In my opinion a great place to live.
