It also led to a lot of offensive rebounds, coincidence maybe but
it certainly helped win the game. One of the reasons for the rebounds was because the defense wasn't so packed in because Gonzaga chose to play man all the way out. Personally, I think this was a mistake by Few. But regarding the OP's statement, I thought the quality of shots on those possessions was on par or better than what this team normally gets. Now if BYU was more efficient offensively and holding onto the ball led to less efficient shots then he might have a point. But with this team that has not been the case thus it was a good strategy even if it had not worked.
