I've had my cars tested by Blackstone Labs multiple times and am confident in keeping with the Mobil1/10k interval. This is one of my favorite reports from Blackstone:
The universal averages column shows typical wear from this type of engine after about 4,400 miles on the oil. So far this oil has been in place 9,700 miles, yet wear metals are all still in the average range. Bearing wear (see copper, lead, and tin) was exceptionally good. The oil was a 5W/30 in viscosity and it was free of any fuel dilution, or anti-freeze. Silicon was normal, so the air filter is doing a good job. Insolubles were low showing good oil filtration. We see no reason to change the oil at this point!
