The wrecks that look the craziest (like this one) are often the least dangerous
because the extreme speed and momentum is dispersed over time while the car spins and rolls along. What killed Earnhardt was the immediate stop, going from like 200 mph to 0 almost instantly. Your body (brain especially) just can't take that, even if there isn't anything actually slamming into your body.
