The longer your cruise, the more you'll care about amenities like balcony,
dining quality, shows, etc.
We absolutely enjoyed our longer cruise the most, but your cost won't just be up a little due to the extra days, but also for the cabin and cruise line that make a difference on longer trips.
FWIW, my only cruises have been on Carnival and Holland. Carnival was good for up to a week or so. We could have been happy on Holland for a month.
