There is definitely a mix. These two are a bit closer towards the extreme end of the
spectrum than the average. The point is college level competitors are generally competitive in ways average people don't understand. College level linebackers are generally more competitive and aggressive than the average football player. It requires a certain kind of aggression and love of physicality to be a linebacker.

Fortunately most of them aren't quite dumb enough to reveal their weaknesses via social media but even many of those that don't just ask their family and friends how these guys are when they play monopoly around the dinner table, when they play video games against a friend, when they play backyard bball with friends etc.... majority of these guys are not your neighbor and software developer, they are ferocious competitors and aren't hesitant to talk smack in ways your HR rep wouldn't. These are guys whose physical and mental toughness attributes led the charge through much of their lives.

Im not saying they are all crazy. I'm saying you take two large aggressive men and place Twitter in their hands and don't find yourself surprised to see the proverbial pounding of chests.
