ned and forced themselves in front of the other depth at congested positions, but I can't see Gonzo unseating Brooks or Cameron due to how well they compliment each other. Rowe showed well but he has a lot of good players ahead of him as a wide midfielder, especially after seeing how good Morris and Nagbe can be outside. Bedoya wasn't great but he's versatile and experienced, plus was captain in the games he played so I imagine he'll be a situational starter when the team goes with a narrow midfield. Guzan gets a lot of flack but looked good and should only get better now that he'll be a full-time starter at his club.
Acosta was in over his head a few times and I thought Arriola is too inconsistent for regular playing time, but he's probably our fastest player and Arena seems to like him. Zardes didn't help himself, he had the grace of an elephant and doesn't pass particularly well -- he and Morris are similar players and Morris was significantly better than him. Hedges was a disaster and will need an amazing showing in MLS to contend for a World Cup roster spot. Zusi had a few hiccups defensively but Arena seems to like him and we don't have much depth at RB. The fact that neither Hamid or Johnson pushed themselves into serious playing time is a good sign for Horvath and Gonzalez.
Gonzo should have been tournament MVP. He was solid defensively all tournament and chipped in three goals. I'm miffed that they gave it to a guy who only played half the tournament.
