Having never played college sports I would think being a 3rd string QB would be mentally tough as a sophomore or junior.
At BYU we seem to be quickly creating a depth at QB. At what point does a young man think I'll never get on the field here. You never know what will happen but I can see why they might look elsewhere.

Good point- I'd imagine a lot of these kids still think they could be the star of just given the chance
