I know everyone is dumping on him, and he definitely made mistakes. But there is something that I haven't seen discussed and he deserves massive praise for this imho.
I think it was the first play the 2nd quarter, after the false start. Tanner steps back and throws a ball DIRECTLY at a Ute defender. Hifo goes around the defender to catch the ball. We have seen plenty of times where the wide receivers have given up on plays, but on this one Hifo went after it and made the play. Huge props to Hifo. I thought his mindset at that moment was different than what we saw from the wide receivers in previous weeks.
