Can someone explan the philosophy of trying to run an offense that
We don't have the manpower to run against good teams at this point in time? Wouldn't it make more sense to run something that didn't force matchups that play into our opponent's strengths? I don't believe our talent level reflects the final score of the Wisconsin and LSU games. I get that we are trying to build something for the future but it seems in order to do what we want to do on offense it would take years in recruiting to get it done, longer than the careers of any of our current athletes. I don't really buy that our poor performance is mostly because of lack of execution or lack of fundamental technique, we were just soundly beaten by superior athletes.

But I think our chances would have been greater if we focused on things that our guys have the best chance of accomplishing against any opponent, even if we have to resort to gimmickry or trickery because like it or not that's who we are. We've gotten where we are because of being pass happy innovative and exciting. For goodness sakes our offensive brand is the reason ESPN signed on.
