I know for a fact that the summer before Bronco's final season a number of
former players went in to talk to TH about getting a "BYU guy" to come in and coach. A few of them offered up their services as assistant coaches and said they could convince Ty to come as the OC.
You'd be surprised some of the not so obvious names. So while the article may have stirred the pot amongst the fans, other things were happening within AD as well.
